I have been going to or hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for over half a century.  The temperature has ranged from quite chilly to balmy (always good for our annual football game).  But, here in Eastern Massachusetts it has rarely been snowy.  This is a real treat as we are hosting this year and don’t have to drive anywhere.  As a photographer, bad weather means good photo opportunities.  Also, being in Arizona during the winter months leads to little opportunity to shoot the snow. (Of course, this is one of the main reasons to be in Arizona – hide from the snow and cold.)

So, in anticipation, I woke up this morning, got out of bed, dragged a comb across my head (thanks, Paul), and took a few shots of the early snow.

Woods across from our condo. A lot of snow!

Happy Thanksgiving! And, remember, its all about the light.
